WABS partners with the Healthcare Industry Leadership Table (HILT) to deliver the Student Experience Package. The Student Experience Package (SEP) provides healthcare industry-led experiences for students furthest from opportunity. Specifically, students learn from healthcare professionals about high-demand healthcare careers through four healthcare career exploration programs – the career event, speakers bureau, and video library.
For Students:
Middle and high school students interact with healthcare professionals either by attending a career fair that highlights a variety of healthcare careers, listening to a healthcare professional speak during class, or browsing the video library, a YouTube channel with a collection of local healthcare professionals sharing their career pathways. The SEP introduces students to the world of healthcare, so they can explore if this field is worth pursuing.
For Educators:
The SEP is your one-stop shop to apply your students’ classroom learning to the world of healthcare. Whether you wish to request a speaker, access the video library, and/or participate in the healthcare career fair, the SEP is ready to help fulfill your needs.
For Employers:
The SEP introduces students from diverse backgrounds to your organization, increases awareness of your organization’s role in the community, and provides a meaningful way for your employees to engage with youth. Help expand your healthcare workforce by facilitating healthcare career exploration for students!
